Where's my serial #
« on: August 02, 2002, 05:32:06 pm »

A few days ago i loaded MJ 8.0, went online and went through the steps to get a serial # to run this program legit.  i not only filled out the form once but TWICE, and it then tried to get me to fill it out a third time, after that i said enough is enough!!!
I called the Mich. tele# and was told very uncermoniusly that MJ is a fully internet prog, and i would have to get resolution through the net.  Well here i am and i'm still waiting for my serial.  can anyone help???
Thanks

Keep Cool Man !

I can understand that a problem is not (always) something laughable, but if you want that the people at JRiver and the MediaJukebox users that are ready to help you take your problem in consideration, you first have to act with courtesy, don't be such aggressive.

OK, now to be able to help you, please give us some extra info.
Assuming that MJ 8.0 is installed on your PC, click Help --> System Info, Copy to Clipboard and paste it at the bottom of your thread.

So, the people able to help, will at least know what you're talking about.

Anyway, welcome on this forum (the best ever seen)

>>>> I called the Mich. tele#  <<<<

That's Minnesota.

When you check under Help > Registration Info, your number isn't there?

Did you get an e-mail confirming that you actually purchased MJ?

Do you have a firewall or some other program blocking this type of action?

Some specifics go a long way towards finding your cure.

There is a lot of help in the FAQ under jukebox/purchase above.

When you visit the Restore Page, use IE for your browser.

I am being cool, the lady i spoke to in "Minnesota," (Sorry about that no offense intended) was less than helpfull, and i perceived that she was bordering on passive agressive. No, i was being rather nice, and speaking to her in a polite tone and manner.  i am used to speaking on the phone to someone, when i have a problem.

No Machine Head, i did not >> get an e-mail confirming that you actually purchased MJ?<<  i entered my info twice, compleate with credit card info, and got nothing.  also i had had MJB 7 and my system crashed in the process of migrating everything from a 30 GB to an 80 GB HDD and i lost everything! cant get back serial # cause i can't find the back-up i made of the serial, and te e-mail i had with the info was archived on my local drive, that's why i've gotten slightly peeved.  Sorry, i did not mean to take it out on you folks or to insult anyone, i'm just concerned about my info floating around in ether limbo for anyone to pick-up.
Thanks folks for the replies.
