How to burn a dvd?
« on: December 13, 2007, 04:48:02 pm »

I have burnt dvds before through MC but I can't do it now.

Each dvd is now listed as one file only, and when I drop this file into the burn action window, it shows up as 1 mb...

I get the error message "none of the tracks can be burned. Common errors include [... ]"

I don't know the answer.  I had a problem with burning a DVD on a Sony Vaio.  It was solved by buying a newer Plextor drive.

What type of files are you trying to burn?  How many?  How close to the capacity are you running?

I am trying to make a "regular dvd" with AUDIO_TS , VIDEO_TS folders and .vob files.

Well, I just used Nero to burn a DVD, so it's not hardware.

I'm not over the limit in size.

Previously, I could browse to a video_ts folder and drop the folder to the dvd action window. Now, I can't see the folder in the view, just one single "file"...

I tried this and it didn't work either.
I then tried it using Vista's DVD burning,
which created the folders in the right place, but I guess there's more
to it than that since the DVD refusd to play in a DVD player.

Would be a nice feature for MC to have IMO!
