Stop being my default player- how
« on: May 08, 2008, 04:32:10 pm »

How can I stop j river 12 from forcing itself as my default player?  Also, was watching movie and the sound was excellent, however the voices were to low.  I enabled mp1, mp2 ac3 dts lpcm. When I enabled lpcm it went from sound with no voices to sound with faint voices.

That's a question about Windows File Associations.  Please try a google search.

You need to set them in whatever application you want.  And if you don't want MC to have them, you need to tell MC that.  MC Tools/Options/File Associations.

For low voices, it may be a bad direct show filter.  Please start a new thread with a subject that describes that problem if you need to discuss.  Info on DirectShow is in our wiki above.

If it's a DVD movie, there is also what is known as Auto Play.  If you have Vista this is easy to control under Control Panel, and in MC it's under the DVD settings in Options.
