Fresh install won't play [solved]

I just finished a new build and my .ape music files don't play. They start for a moment and stop with no audio out. My problems are two fold, one no audio, two file doesn't play. I keep switching output from wave to direct, no sound. I downloaded and installed the ape plugin for encoder and output, still no sound. All my music is on external HD's and worked fine with my old build. My MCE2005 plays DVDs and HDTV just fine on this pc. I was going to use this in "Other Programs" in MCE.

Everything works fine , I just needed to restart Media Jukebox for the changes to take effect. DUH!
