Error Message In 12.0.497

For some reason, I'm having a great deal of trouble with this new version of Media Center. Here it is: When I burn a CD, and the CD is finishing. The closing of the CD seems to hold on and lingers. I also get a message that says that "The program is detecting Your CD writing Devices". Is is what happens and the process keeps holding on and never finishes the closing of the CD, so that it can eject on it's own. Can anyone shed some light?
