How can I play from folder, not library?
« on: May 12, 2003, 05:04:01 pm »

I'd like to be able to browse through folders on my (or a network) drive, and "play" the mp3 files I come across WITHOUT having to add them to the library or other list. How can I do this?

Check the file associations in MJ.  If you have mp3 checked, then MJ will be the default player.

Also check the setting in MJ for "shell integration".  If it is checked, you can right click on the file in Explorer and get some MJ options.

If you DON'T have MJ as your default player associated with the files, you can just drag and drop the files onto MJ's "Playing Now" screen.  IF you don't have MJ set up to automatically add files to the library, they won't be added to the library but you can still play them.
