I found a really fantastic Chicken Tikka Masala recipe the other day. I'm thinking it's time to make it again. It's been like forever (2 days) since I made it last. :D

Popeye's Chicken

About 15 Mins Into It I Asked The Girl How Long Does It Take To Fry 24 Onion Rings.

It Took Them 29 Mins To Cook 24 Onion Rings.

20 People Behind The Counter, Only The Manager Seemed To Be Working.

They Just Re-Opened About 4 Weeks Ago, But They Have Always Been Bad On Service.

There Seems To Be A Communication Problem.

The Chicken Was Good However

Never ever, ever, EVER give lip to Fast Food employees.  At least not until after you've gotten your food.  If all they did was spit in them, you're lucky.

They're severely underpaid, underappreciated, and generally overworked (for the pay) employees.  And many of them aren't the most well-adjusted teenagers to begin with anyway (especially the cooks -- otherwise they stick them on register), which is why they work at a fast food place and not at a better after school job.  The bosses are usually total pricks (why else do they work at a fast food place and last long enough to become a boss) and make just being there almost unbearable.  And, to top it off, the jobs are a dime-a-dozen and if you get fired you can go get another similar job across town without issue, so there's little motivation to stay on the straight and narrow.

I knew plenty of kids back in highschool who worked at places like that.  I know better.  Food first.  Complain (if needed and worth the effort) after food is in hand.

As far as my dinner... Kung Po Chicken (extra hot).  Mmmm.... Spicy, peanutty goodness!!  Coulda had a fancy dinner at the Annual Meeting festivities (Duck, polenta, and a bunch of other awesome stuff), but I wanted to eat with my wife so we went out.

One Of My Favorite Dinners Is A Meat Ball Hoagie, Because it Was The First Diner I Had With My Wife In A Small Mom And Pop Diners Where We Lived Back In The 1970's

Don't Get One At Subway It Is Hazardous To Your Health.

There Is Another Meal I Like And My Wife Calls It "Wet Meat"

It Is Basically Mashed Potatoes, Ground Hamburger Broken Up, Onion Powder, Worcestershire Sauce And Gravy Made Thickened With Wonder Flower, And Salt And Pepper.

I Like To Add A Few Slabs Of butter So My Arteries Can Get Blocked.

I love meatball subs.  Especially with onions.  Mmmmm....  And, yes, not Subway.  I try to avoid really any of Subway's "hot subs".  They're mostly gross.

Last night I had:

Pan roasted Chicken leg quarters with a bourbon-wine pan sauce (with home-grown garlic, onions, and carrots).  Corn-on-the-cob and steamed snow peas on the side.

It was fabulous.  I managed to make it without burning the crap out of my hand too (which is a challenge with pan-roasting, I always forget that handle stays very hot when it comes out of the oven).  My wife and I finished the bottle of wine too.

I Talked Sue Into Making "Wet Meat" Tonight.

She Also Said She Uses Beef Bullion In It.

Today I Went To Inspect A Sweet Potato\Potato Plant.

I smelled some of them fermenting

When you said acid, King, my first thought was *not* gelatin (nor hydrochloric, sulfuric, nor amino)...

I bought Some Port Riblets Yesterday

I Never Had It Before

It Was Only $1.32 A Pound

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riblets

I Also Boiled Down Apple Juice, And Added Vodka To It To See If I Can Get It To Taste Like Apple Schnapps. When I Can Get It Not To Freeze It Should Be Done.

Egg Plant Parmagian, more or less.  Two egg plants from my ex-wife's garden.   One from mine.  My sauce, made from her tomatoes.  A lot of cheese.

Tues Day My Sisters Son (Who Is A Captain Of A Fishing Ship) They Only Get Scallops, Returned To Port So I Had My Sister Bring Some Up To My Moms House. There Was About 5lbs Of Them And They Were About 2 Inches Across.

My Sisters Daughter Owns A Sea Food Restaurant (Semi Closed Now Due To The Sumer Season Is Ober). They Are Still Open On Thurs, Friday, And Sat. So I Also Had Her Stop Over There, And Get Some Snow Crap, Crab Cakes, Devil Clams, And Lobster.

I Never Ate Any Of That Stuff Except Lobster When I Was About 6 Years Old And I Barfed It All Up.

My Mom Cooked It All Up, And I Was Surprised That It All Tasted Good.
