I've added an Album Rating field to my library.  I have to export the entire library as an mpl file in order to process it and generate an album rating which I can then reimport to my library giving every album a rating (by inserting the Album Rating field into every track).

Then I created a smartlist which generates a playlist for one highly rated album which hasn't been played in the last month.

I can tie this in to my media keyboard such that at the press of a keyboard button MC starts playing a random highly rated album which I haven't listened to for a while.

Like others, I'd love to see MC support a more album-centric view but as above shows it is possible, with a little effort, to get MC to do some amazing things.

i agree on two points

yes, it would be nice if mc could be a bit more album-centric.

yes, it is amazing what is possible in mc with a little effort.

i programmed a bit in the plugin part. made it calculate the average number plays for an album, and a relative number plays for songs and the avarage from that for the album. there is so much possible.
