MJ's aspi install process will take care of unzipping the "zip file within a zip", but it appears that in some cases the install fails due to the inability to overwrite one of the existing aspi files. We'll get this fixed, but in the meantime (Shelly) you can do either:
1. If you're comfortable running DOS batch files, shut down MJ and all other programs, open a command window and go to the directory where the 4.71 install files are located and run the command "install xp32". Reboot. MJ should stop complaining about version problems.
Unlike on Win2000, you can't use the aspiinst.exe program for XP.
- or -
2. Let MJ do it: Rename your wnaspi32.dll file which is in the system32 directory (under your windows directory), then reboot the system. Now run MJ and let it install the aspi stuff.
if anyone is interested we've got a file that bypasses aspi entirely on win nt/2k/xp that I can email to you if you want to try it out. It's just a small file that goes into the Media Jukebox program directory.
