Red Lobster
« on: July 17, 2008, 05:57:15 pm »

Tuesday I Went To Red Lobster For Early Dinner With My Wife (About 3:30pm)

I Always Get The Flounder, It Is Always Breaded Perfectly.

I Asked Them To Sell Me Some Of The Breading But They Would Not.

Does Anyone Know What They Use? And How They Lightly Bread The Fish?

Today I Bought 5 Lbs Of Flounder, And About 10 Different Breading Mixes.

I Figure Since Sue Is Working Tonight I Will Do A Taste Test Of Each One.

What Is Your Favorite Breading For Fish?

That's a serious fish-breading mission.   :o

I can't really comment.  I got horribly ill once at a Red Lobster when I was six and it ruined me forever on seafood.  Too bad too, because I live on the coast of Maine (and, as some would know, we have a few fisherman up here still).

When We Lived In New York When I Was A Kid

My Dad Brought Home Some Lobster One Day, And I Barfed Up

I Have Not Eaten Lobster Since.

I Also Do Not Eat Mussels, Oysters, Etc..

Deviled Clam And Crab Cakes Are OK If The Meat Is Finely Chopped

I Bought Some More Flounder Today, But I Think My Wife Wants To Try Something From Arby's For Dinner.

I Was thinking About getting a part time job (one day) at red lobster so i can find out how to do it...

I think i would enjoy a Chef Job

A Massage From Red Lobster

Dear Mr. Farmer,

Thank you for your interest in Red Lobster; it is always a pleasure to hear from our guests.

Red Lobster does not package our food for bulk sales.  Any of our menu items can be enjoyed in our restaurants or by takeout in most locations.  Unfortunately, we are unable to honor your request for the purchase of our breading.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Sincerely,

Nissy

I Found This On The Web, I Have Not Tried It Yet

Red Lobster's Country Fried Flounder Recipe

Ingredients:
2 pounds fresh flounder fillets
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Cooking Directions:
Skin fillets.
Cut fillets into serving size portions.
Combine cornmeal with seasonings.
Roll fish in cornmeal mixture.
Place flounder in an iron skillet which has been preheated with about 1/8 inch of oil.
Brown on one side 2 to 3 minutes.
Carefully turn and cook on the other side an additional 3 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve with tartar sauce and coleslaw.

This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
