Media center 12.0.528 setting
« on: August 02, 2008, 11:14:18 am »

Somehow my settings within MC have gotten changed. I can't remember how to set my player so that an entire album will be played. right now I play one track and it stops. I have already set repeat play to off and suffle play to off, but it still plays one track and stops, and doesn't continue on to the next song from the album. Can anyone help?

MC Tools/Options/General/Behavior should do it.

As Jim says,
Have you checked the setting at: "Tools > Options > General > Behaviour > Double Click..."

If that doesn't fix things, how are you starting playback of the album?

But Which option in the Double click do I check or un-check. I'm confused.

I think that "replace playing now (all)" is the default setting.

What's yours set at, and again, how are starting playback?

I start playback by either right clicking and selecting the option play or double clicking on the mp3 it'self. I still don't see how that has any reference to having all the tracks play after I select a track. Can someone just give me a general setup. Because noting was selected obviously by default. I'm getting a little tired of these stupid quirks within this software.

Assuming you are working from within Media Center, and not from windows explorer:

If you use the right click > play option then only the file right clicked on will play.

If you select all files in the album, then right click > play, then all selected files will play.

If you double click on a file, and your double click settings are set to 'replace playing now (all)' then all files in the visible list will be sent to playing now and playback will begin with the double clicked file.

Try not to get overly frustrated, it tends to cloud your understanding ;)

No worries. Glad we got there in the end.
You're one question was not detailed enough to enable you to receive an immediate answer. If you're not double clicking to begin playback, then checking those settings would be futile.
"Not beating around the bush" is all well and good in its place, but you must also be able to read and respond whilst doing so.
I would then not have needed to ask this question twice...
If that doesn't fix things, how are you starting playback of the album?
and you would have gained understanding a little bit quicker. there are very many different ways to begin playback with MC.

regards,
-marko.

One last thing. How do you adjust the buffer for sound.
