Has anyone tried using MC for email management?

Nobody has tried this?  Maybe Outlook can do everything I need but I'm now more familiar with MC for organizing, tagging and finding media files.  If  I could somehow import all my email into MC I think it would be an efficient way to browse emails.

If you have them exported as txt files you can index them, and I think you can search within them. You could use something like getmail or fetchmail to get emails to a specific folder which MC could watch. I guess you could set a external CLI sender from within MC as well. The biggest problem would be to make MC tag the files accordingly. The fetcher could probably name the files according to a scheme, but I am not sure MC can fetch data without interaction at the moment (by design).

I would like to use Emacs+Gnus to manage mails, but at the moment I use Thunderbird. At work they use a Outlook from 2003, I believe, and it it sucks big times.
