Player caused my Skype Voip mic to stop working; Fix?
« on: August 22, 2008, 10:12:55 am »

Greetings J river,

Absolutely adore the MC Player! I have all my playlists sorted and it works great; my issue is that since installing, my friends can't hear me when i call out on Skype; the mic is not responding. Actually, when i spoke with my mouth right on the mic they heard me but only very very faintly. I have a dell dimension E510 dual core pentium D 2.8Ghz processor and 2gigs memory running xp home with service pack 3. Skype is my only telephone so i must get it back today or i'll end up having to uninstall your amazing program. My voice settings are selected and volume and boost are up so there must be a conflict. Please tell me of a fix.

blessings,
kevin

I don't think that's MC doing it, but you can double click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the Windows desktop and adjust your mic volume there.

Thanks Jim; it was indeed a changed skype setting; all's well. MC Rocks!
