I reinstalled MJ8 and then ran the upgrade to get MJ12.  In my Program Files folder there is a folder Media Jukebox and a second folder Media Jukebox12.  Can I delete all of the files in the old folder Media Jukebox?

Backup your library first.

Then uninstall MJ8.

In addition to what Jim said,

If you have cover art files check also where they are stored. If they are under the MJ8 program location (MJ8's default cover art folder is there) backup also the cover art folder before uninstalling MJ8.

Also, you should always use the program's own uninstaller instead of manually deleting files. After running the uninstaller you can delete the possibly remaining left-over files.
