Album View - An Update
« on: July 27, 2002, 06:33:16 am »

Friends,

As you may/may not have been aware I have had a few personal problems that have resulted in my placing AV2 on the back burner for the past 6 weeks or so.

We'll things have sorted themselves out now so I will be getting back to AV as soon as I can remember how to fire up VB

Cool!  Great news on both fronts (your personal life and AV).

Great! A friend uses Album View and I want to as well, I have what I think may be a minor request though.

I use Files encoded with Windows Media Player for XP which adds Album Art as folder.jpg to each album folder it creates. In some ways this becomes dificult when using MJ. There are a few workarounds like the Track Info plug-in "Tutti Frutti for Windows XP"

What I am wondering if you can do is make AV2 look to the root of each folder for folder.jpg for the display art. This would make it possible for those of us with XP WMP libraries to use AV2.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Jeremy,

V1 and V2 can already do this.

You just specify the artwork search rules, e.g. look for the file named folder.jpg in \.

For V1 this setting is in the AV options screen.   For V2 it's part of the DB creation wizard.
