Blues
« on: September 14, 2008, 06:25:34 pm »

I started listening to a few blues tunes tonight.  Elmore James, Albert King....

Listening to: 'Ain't No Sunshine' from 'Texas Cannonball' by 'Freddie King' on Performer Media Center

Anybody know who did the original?

I found my musical maturity in Blues. I am young to know those artist way before my father had born. Robert Johnson, Elmore James, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Muddy Waters, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy. These guys had influence great rock artist like Led Zep, Jimi Hendrix and the likes. I love mojo workin, hoochie koochie man, killing floor, back door man, and Howlin Wolf's Riding the Moonlight.

In Eric Clapton's unplugged album one of his track song is "signe" I saw the original blues artist of the instrumental song, I just can't remember it right now.

Check out Otis Taylor for the best (in my opinion) modern blues.
