UPnP problems after upgrading
« on: September 20, 2008, 11:15:07 pm »

Thank you for reading

I hadn't upgraded my Media Center 12 in a while, I don't remember exactly what build I had been using but I think it was in the later 400's.

It alerted me on a few separate occasions that there was a newer version, so I finally did update, and now my UPnP devices don't work anymore.

I have a few Linksys WMLS11b's that I use around the house for background music. They had been working fine before.

I have checked only Replace Empty Genre and Skip Child Count in the options window. This is the same as it always was.

In the log window I see this:

09/21/08 00:05:12 - JRiver UPnP Server Version 1.0.50 starting...
09/21/08 00:05:13 - UPnP Media Server Device started on port 50090

</s:Body>
</s:Envelope>

Any ideas?

Did you try Automatic Detection?

Are you converting to MP3?

Thanks for your reply.

I eventually worked out that I had accidentally changed something in the advanced receiver options.

I got it working again, at least with the Linksys devices.

The Playstation is another matter...

I know this is an old thread, but does anyone still have the settings necessary to connect a Linksys WMLS11b to JRiver? mine gets a request for device description, but never actually connects....
