« on: March 27, 2003, 04:29:52 pm »

>:(  I just started using Media Jukebox and was going along great when Wham!!
this message pops up as the media jukebox logo is on the screen.

Runtime error!
Program: C\Program Files\J River\Media Jukebox\Media Jukebox.exe

abnormal progam termination

And thats it.  Nothing else.   So with what computer savey I have I uninstall the program, restart the computer and re-install the program.  Hoping that this would solve my troubles and Wham!  same message same problem.

Any help?

Old post, but I was having the exact same problem. A runtime error at startup. The program actually still functioned if I did not confirm the C++ error dialog box.

For me I believe the error was the AlbumView plug-in I was evaluating. When I tried use the plug-in it's UI was somewhat resposive but it's status was stuck on Reading Albums and so the cursor was set to an hourglass and no album listings were available in the other screens. I believe my data file (*.av2) had become corrupted. When I moved the backup (which I had set to be created in the prefs) on top of this file it was fine.
