Xmltv Simplified?
« on: October 10, 2008, 07:06:51 pm »

Can anyone outline some basic instructions for getting a tv guide with Media Center 13?  I have Vista 64.  What do I need to install, run, kick to get the Xmltv info with Media center.  This is making me feel inadequate :P

It's not very smooth yet.  But you could start here.

I downloaded MC2XML but nothing happens when i run it in Vista.  I need a way to generate the xmltv file.  Any suggestions? I'm not getting anywhere with the wiki and the xmltv site is leaving me lost.  Thanks.

When you run it the first time, from a CMD prompt, it should give you the options.

After it has been run, it will save those options in a dat file in the same directory.

The second time you run it, it will use that dat file to get the options.
