Sound Device Lost
« on: October 19, 2008, 02:25:16 pm »

When I switch to Audio, Images or Video while watching TV, TV often stops with the error message:
Sound Device Lost. Code: 1,6. This problem can only be solved bij closing and restarting MC.

That error message is shown if an error occurs in either the audio capture device or the audio renderer device. The codes 1, 6 mean that the error occurred when the program tried to open the audio device. The error code returned by the device is 6 (I have no idea what it means).

This may have to do with your sound card setup.

My soundcard is a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS. I had lots of troubles getting it to work properly with Windows Vista, because Creative still has'nt provided a decent Vistadriver for it. So, I think I have to deal with the problem then, because I am not prepared to getting in trouble again by reïnstalling the driver.
Thanks anyway.
