King
5 th cd burned in a row
from the same box of new cds
Number of songs below the  650MB
The only new thing with this one is that one album needs to have his name reduce to 108[?] letters

And i did around 5 cds yesterday

I'm not sure, maybe one file is larger than MJ is reporting it. Try eliminating one file at a time to find the culprit. Put it in "test mode" if it is ruining CD's.

Maybe a bad CD blank, but you probably already tried others.

No way!
When testing a cd,i got error at track 54
I do not remember the error ,was something about disc cache

removing the track 54 gave error at the 'new' track 54
removing the full album where tracks 54 where ,i got error at track 59

gave a try with Easy cdcreator, was ok

I'am in rush ,but do not mind to test again when back from holydays if it can help

just let me know

the cd plays fine by the way,and after this problem ,i burned another 5 cds with MJ without a problem. As well, before this problem i burned 4 or 5 cds

The cd i had problem with, was the only time i got a window from MJ telling me that a full album has to long tags, and i have to reduce them to 108 letters

But the problems was not on this tracks

Thank you and let me know if you want me to try again when i'am back

zevele

you could try deleteing the database, and reimport, then try again.

this fixed my problem with burning, not sure if yours is the same.

mine had to do with the data base being screwed up.

the reason it was screwed up is unknown to me but some times i might try this weekend to recreate it is.

1. Move MP3
2. Rename MP3
3. Rename MP3 With Dup File Names.

King
How i delete the data?

did few more mp3 cds-by the way your tip to put' cd number ....'in custom 1 is great.

4 of them ,ok.
the last one, again the window telling me that some tags need to be cut down to 108.And the same error when testing the cd

The error does not come when on the tracks who needed to be cut to 108
This i'am sure,100%

Burned the cd with Easy creator,no problem.
I have enought cds now,and not that much free time until i leave

But i will put this post in my bookmarks.I want to find out about this problem.Cause to use MJ to burn mp3 cds his SO MUCH better than to use Easy Creator

SO

-how i delete data?
_What do you mean by 'dup file names?

I haven't heard of this problem before, it's possibly specific to your burner model or the driver software. One thing to try is to select the "generic driver" instead since that will truncate your filenames to 80 characters which is the true ISO9660/Joliet standard. The generic driver should work fine for data CD's. For audio CD's it has the drawbacks of placing 2 second gaps between tracks and not writing CD-Text.
Let us know the results, we may need to make an option for 80/108 character limit on filenames. It would definitely have to be an option or we'd be stepping on some toes (ZRocker, are you reading this?).

JohnT   you got it!

Used 'generic driver' and everything fine
I burn mp3 cds most of the time[well last time i did it was september last year......]
and one or two redbook cds a year

So i can manage with 'generic'driver'

The most important thing is to be able to do it inside MJ.
And use tips for album order,artist\album only playlist. And 'tag' albums allready burned.

Look like i will open Easy CdCreator only the day i will give a try at ripping lps...

thank you for the help

Thanks for reporting back. Looks like we'll have to add that 80/108 character option.
By the way, you won't need CDCreator for ripping LP's, you can use MJ.
