Some time back I spent a lot of time customizing my view in version 12. I just installed v13.0.62 and during the installation I was asked to pick a view from a list. So I did. Now my file list pane is grouped by Album.

How can I revert to my previous v12 view, or alternatively, remove the grouping from the current view?

A few simple clicks.......
At the top across from audio,images etc click the button Panes and then click Customize View Then where it says Group By select None and to get rid of the big thumbnails if you wish remove the Image Large thumbnail
Enjoy..... I sure did wasn't diggin that iTunes feel of organization..... lol
