Is it safe to uninstall MC12? Also, can plugins be pulled into MC13?

Installed 13, great price - thanks.  I see that they will peacefully co-exist, so I'm in no hurry to uninstall 12.  When I decide to, however, will that in anyway affect MC13?

Also, is there a way to pull my skins and plugins from 12 to 13?  Thanks!

Uninstalling 12 has no effect on 13.

Plugins and skins need to be reinstalled.

So, please forgive the stupid question, but I don't see a drop down for MC13 on the skins/plugins page - do I have to wait for it to be added or will 13 pick it up if I reinstall something for 12?  Thanks!

Since MC 13 is still in beta, the plugin page, help file, and some other pieces are not yet updated.

You should be able to pick MC 12 from the plugin page, and MC 13 will pick-up anything you install.
