Alternative to the Library > Backup Function
« on: November 03, 2008, 08:30:45 pm »

I have organized my computer filing system such that applications live on C: and data on D:. That way I only have to back up D:.

Although MC13 will let me copy my current library (deeply buried in Documents & Folders) to D: where I can include it in my D: backup, but I would rather just have the current library live on D - that way I won't have to take the additional step of backing up the library to D: before I can back up all my other data.

Is that possible?

When you create a library, you specify a location for the library's database files.  At that point, you can specify drive D: and whatever folder you want.

Okay, thank you. I'm in the process now!
