Feature request: More precise slider

When I was watching recorded tv shows with MC 13, I had to skip many commercials.
The slider is very unprecise and it is often challenging to seek in small increments.
This seems to be caused by the slider widget itself which doesn't seek in small increments until it is dragged by a larger increment.

The jump commands Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right are great for skipping ads.  I assign them to a button on my remote.
