Is there any way through the GUI or command line (/MCC) switches to disable the auto import summary dialog? The reason why I would like this is I no longer run auto-import in the background and have it scheduled to run at a set time. The current options I am using are /MCC 23020, 0.

I know this is trivial, but would like to suppress this if at all possible since that dialog to me is annoying every time I come back to the machine after auto-import runs.

If invoked manually, a summary will be shown.

If you tick "Run auto-import in background" in options, it will be silent.

Unfortunately, using a scheduled task to invoke auto import does not suppress the summary which is really what I am after

you still have some options, schedule MC to start @ time, the autoimport will kick in..also you
can use the mc12.exe /SilentImport command for folders

@ Matt, please consider something for the MCC commands, so we could use most of them with no "popups"

What is the command for silent import?

I've tried MC13.exe /MCC 23020,0 which shows the summary at the end of the import stating that no files were imported/updated.

I've tried to preface this with MC13.exe /MCC 34065, 1 which is MCC_NOTIFY_IMPORT_FINISHED to suppress the notify import finished.

I even tried appending /silentimport switch with no luck either thinking that may help.

I must not have something set right within MC, but can't figure it out.

you can set it up with a bat file

....\system32\mc1x.exe /silentimport "B:\Folder"

or via parameter (commandline)

The problem is that I have exclusions set in my auto-import list, so using a single top level folder will not work for me.

The command that I show used to work in MC12, but not MC13.

I am using the built-in scheduler which doesn't suppress the summary, I've tried it from the command line and in multiple batch files passing in multiple parameters and still end up with the Summary pop-up on the screen every time. I want this to go away or an option to turn this off when doing an import from the command line or scheduler. It's annoying to have to hit OK every time stating that no files were imported. If it did import files, then I would check the recently imported playlists to see what it was.

This is the same problem with backup and restore commands as well. I wanted to make a script to automate backup of MC13 library and thumbnails, restoring a previous system image, and then restore the MC backups. But I had to hit the Ok buttons twise anyway; so why script at all?

A way to set this commands as silent would help a lot of people who want some kind of automation.
