"Blues" Genre
« on: July 23, 2002, 02:56:18 pm »

I don't like to save genre info on my MP3 collection.  It seems that every so often MJ sets the genre info to "blues".  It's a pain to reset because I have a collection of over 5200 MP3s.  Has anyone else seen this problem?

I Have A Doctorate In ID3 Tags

In Id3v1 Tags There Is No "Blank" when you erase the tag, it sets the tag to "0" the Genre Code "0" = "Blues"

Hey!  Blues is great music!  Even if the song isn't really a blues tune, you can alway pretend!

If you set your options to support ID3v2, just set all genres to "General" or something generic so all files will be the same.

I've petitioned the organization to make "0" = "Booty Bass", but so far, no luck.
