USB TV sticks on MC13?
« on: November 30, 2008, 01:49:54 am »

Have the USB sticks that are supported by MC12 been fully tested for MC13 yet?

If so, is the Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick still the best performing one?  Does MC13 run this stick as an FM radio as well?

thanks!

No FM radio in MC, but the devices that MC12 supported should be fine with MC13.

Right now, we're overhauling TV to get a better EPG and to merge watching and recording.  That last build work with multiple tuners in a way that is almost transparent, so you can start a couple of programs recording simultaneously, then watch either one.  But what this means is that TV has some rough edges right now.

Many thanks.  Are there any plans to enable FM radio on the USB sticks?  The Pinnacle software is excreable and if at all possible, I'd like to keep it off my machines.

*bump*

I' am thinking in tems of using MC as the primary front end on a carputer I'm playing with.  Being able to completely use a USB radio/TV stick would be a massive plus.

The other piece to the puzzle would be able to use an HD and/or sat radio receiver (usb again) via MC.

No radio.  USB TV sticks work.  Pinnacle is my current choice.
