OggVorbis plugin, what version encoder?
« on: July 23, 2002, 06:20:39 am »

It's frustrating to still see only the JRiver version numbers and no information on WHICH version of the CODEC is being used to actually handle the data.   Please please please add something to show which version of the CODEC is being used within the Plug-In facility.  These things change too fast and there are often major changes between versions.

Is the 2.0.57 OggVorbis plug-in using the 1.0 release version of the OggVorbis CODEC?

Just run the Oggenc.exe file (from a DOS command prompt) in the MJ Plugins sub-dir and you'll see what version MJ is using.

I added the information to the plug-in download page.

Thanks. How about adding the information to the display inside the Plugin Manager?
