After negotiating the email and voicemail support minefield that is Sony, I finally talked to an "authority" at Sony who informed me that they provide no support for 3rd party software companies (i.e. JRiver) to connect to their portable devices. Sony claims they do everything themselves and the only people I can talk to are the engineers in Japan. They were not willing to give me those phone numbers.

Anyway, what this means is that we will be unable to support players from Sony at this time. My apologies.

Thanks for your diligence in looking into this, Steve.  My Sony Clié works great with MJ, and I'm pleased with all other aspects of MJ's performance, so I'll just use my old 'RJ for Sony' for uploading to my husband's Walkman MP3 player and MJ for everything else.
