DVD Video Adjustments Don't Work

I downloaded Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 for my video decoder to watch dvd's on MC12.  Movie is dark and I'd like to adjust it but no go...all video sliders to nothing.

I had this working in the past but can't remember what video decoder I was using.

Suggestions?
