Update

Since I wanted to add some interactivity between my trackinfo plugin and MC's library, I decided to build a new plugin.
Before describing its features there are many people I would like to thank:
- Davjand for his kind help.
- Yaelle (yaelle.com) for his flash pictureflow.
- Last.fm, lyricswiki.org and lyricsplugin.com for their useful data and API.
- competitors to MC for their inspiration.

Please note that:
- looks like you need to restart your computer after install.
- you should split view in 2 columns for a better experience with 'rok skin.
- the 'flow skin will work with MC13/14/15 only (thumbnails size issue).
- the 'flow skin requires Flash 10.0.22 or higher.
- both won't work with IE6, please update to IE7.

Features:
Trackinfo was limited to basic information regarding the now playing track. It's now possible to extract anything from your full library and current playlist. If you played with other library manager, you know what I'm talking about.
Right now it comes with two skins only:

But compatibility with standard trackinfo skins is preserved, old keywords will be properly parsed.

Known limitations
Lots of them

but the first one you'll encounter is the right click menu.
I don't know how I can make it works, then you have to put your template in the "C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center 1X\Plugins\AdvancedTrackInfo\skin" folder I you want it to work. Rename skin1 to skin if you want to switch them.

I was hesitating whether to ask for donations or not. If you think it's pretentious I'll remove it.

This looks extremly nice! Can't get it to work though.. How does one activate it? I can't see it under the 'Track Info' list.. It did install under 'Media Center 12\..' altough changing to 13 didn't help.

Does it appear in your plugin manager? It should show up in your right click menu between 3D Vis. and Trackinfo.

I also can't get it working. Nothing in the plug-in manager or when I right click. I'm using MC 13.0.82.

For me it shows up in plugin manager but it does not show up when I right click in playing now. I have tested it in some MC12 build and latest public MC13 build.

I installed the plugin for MC13 and it works. I like it a lot.
A few remarks:
You mentioned 'skin' and 'skin2' folder, but I have 'skin' and 'skin1' folder. 'skin1' folder is the flow skin, 'skin' folder is the rok skin I presume, but for me it only shows an empty page with Music, Lyrics, Artist and More information. What's 'rok' about that?
In the flow skin the font of the tracktitle is much to big. With long tracktitles a part of the text goes to line 2, messing up the display of Artist name and track length.

How can I use the sidepanel without everytime having to change the folder names skin and skin1?

That sidepanel thingy is great! JRiver should pay you and include it as standard. Now if there was a way to lock a pane..
The flow skin isn't working correct for me. There is a bar showing 'Image 3/3 : 100 % Loaded' but doesn't get past it.

Could you clarify what is working and what is not?
You're right regarding skin1 and skin2 , I'll update the first post.
But you can't display both skins at the same time. Flow skin is designed for a full screen usage, what's your screen resolution?

OK. Thanks. I figured it out, but how can I use the sidepanel without everytime having to rename the folder names skin and skin1?
My screen resolution is 1360x768. In full screen the flow skin is almost OK (it doesn't fit completely on the screen in the vertical direction)

In MC I just have one Advanced Track Info choice and that uses what's in the folder 'skin' to display.
So if I give the folder where the flow skin is in the name 'skin' than that's what Advanced Track Info shows.
If I want the sidepanel I have to rename the folder 'skin1' to 'skin' and the folder 'skin' to 'skin1' or whatever.
Do you understand what I mean? Or do I not understand it?

Powered on my computer this morning and it worked.. Maybe the reboot cured it. Version is MC13 and albumart was present.

Yep I clearly understand. That's what I was stating in my first post. I don't know how to build a menu allowing users to switch easily from one skin to another. So right now you have to rename folders.
And you can't use both skins at the same time. with the 'flow one.
I hope the staff could help me.

I got it working and I like the side panel view. I clicked Artist and was reading about some songs and clicked one of the song titles that brought me to last.fm. I could not find a way to get back to Playing Now without stopping the song and restarting it.

While playing a song, it correctly identified it which was "You Really Got Me / Cabo Wabo" from Van Halen Live: Right Here, Right Now. However the Lyrics showed the words from Cabo Wabo, not the Lyrics I had already had in the lyrics tag.

This is my first time trying out an incarnation of the Last FM trackinfo so I'm sure not sure what saving to Lyrics Wiki and Lyrics Plugin does.

I think I figured this one out on my own. Lyrics Wiki and Lyrics Plugin are apparently two different places where lyrics for the current song can be found and then are displayed, so it's not displaying the current Lyrics from the song's tag. And then if you want them to be saved to the lyrics tag of the song, you click the Save button. That doesn't work however. Unfortunately I can't cut and paste from the displayed lyrics either.

Thanks and which version of the lyrics plugin are we supposed to use? I tried the Windows Media but didn't see any output. I don't have WinAmp installed so I couldn't install that plugin.

Thanks for such a great Track Info. Such feature should be embedded by default in MC.
How have you got the template to appear on the right side? Mine only opens in the small display on the bottom on the left over action window.

On another note neFAST, I know you are one of the best skinner in here. I've opened a thread called: Combine Zune 3.0 elegant look with MediaCenter's robust backbone and it's about making MC look like the Zune 3.0 software which I think is awesome in terms of skin layout.

Great plugin!

Is there anyway to change the font size? Currently its great on the desktop but on the HTPC from across the room I can barely read the lyrics etc and I'm the one with the good eyes in the house.

impressive yet again

IMO, this new version is better than any of the upgrades to MC13 itself (besides WASAPI support that is).

i'm using the rok skin (sidebar). only suggestion i have is about the way it handles displaying albums with no album art. It currently shows the ugly red IE X when no art is available.

Any way to have this default to displaying a nicer default image or an image of our choice?

@all: thanks for your greetings/ The lyrics page is quite buggy, a fix is already beeing worked on.
@raym: my real problem with this scrollbar is to find a way for the user to toggle it. The righr clic would be the best solution but I don't know how I can code this (cf. my unanswered post in the dev section)
@Media Freak: i've already tried the zune application, I will take time to answer your next week.
@WinoOutWest : you can change anything by editing the html/css files. Look for lyrics in the css file and change the font size.
@schmoose: i will correct the red cross problem asap

Looks like you have Internet Explorer 6 and an old Flash version. Could you check this?

Love it. thanks PM. if I can get help with a couple of small niggly issues, it will be enough to make me upgrade to MC13.

Here's my two problems:

1) Sometimes the Artist text is cropped off by the flash pane. see screen shot 1, "Blondie" is partly cut off.

2) Sometimes I get no "flow" art - just a message that says " Image x/x: 100% loaded"

I'm running MC13, IE 7 and Flash 10.0.12.36

Here's links to the screenshots. ignore the right side portions - that's just the view of my other two screens, the display is on the far left screen (incidently, does any one know how to tak screen shots of single screen when running multi screens)

Could you try editing style.css, try a bigger percentage for the top element:

You can use alt-print screen keys simultaneously, it will grab the current window only.

i cant get pictureflow visible. It seems transparent. I see the Albumcover, Title and at the buttom the Track and Year. But the middle is empty. Any ideas?
