Hi,

I've recently switched from itunes to media jukebox, but all the podcasts I download in media jukebox are completely silent. The podcasts play but there's no sound. There is nothing wrong with the podcast-file itself, it works just fine in windows media player as well as itunes.

How do I solve this problem? Any ideas about what might be the issue?

Welcome to the forum.  What file type are they?

Try switching MJ Playback between DirectShow to WAVE Out.

Hey, and thanks for your reply.

They're just regular mp3 files, but with low bitrate. I tried all the playback options. No results. Strange. Other mp3 files play just fine. Is there a difference between a podcast mp3 files and a regular songs?

Is it just one site?  Have you tried others?

I can download podcasts via my Internet browser onto my hard drive and then it will work fine in media jukebox but all the podcasts I download through media jukebox itself via rss-feeds are completely silent in media jukebox (but play fine in other applications). I just can not get my head around it. It's absurd. What is media jukebox doing to these podcasts?

Looks like I'm still going to need iTunes after all, at least for my podcast subscriptions. That's a shame.

All sites?  If it's one, the tags may be bad.

Actually I just got one subscription to work (public service broadcasting), but the rest don't. Very strange. Maybe you're right. Maybe it's something with the tags that media jukebox doesn't handle well. The same subscriptions work fine in iTunes.
