What is a "Stack Tag" and "Stack Icon" ?
« on: January 07, 2009, 12:52:08 pm »

Generally speaking, what is a "stack" in the MC vernacular?  The "stack icon" is a default in all detail views, but mine are empty.  I'm thinking this might be of use for me as I'm creating some views for compilations.

Thanks...

Some (slightly out of date) reading... http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/Stacks

The "stack tag" is an internal field that cannot be edited. It's primary use is for marking files created and stacked as part of the handheld cache.

The stack icon column in file lists will show an icon against any file that is part of a stack. Clicking on the icon will 'expand' the stack, allowing you to see all files that make up that stack. Clicking again will collapse the expanded stack.
