TV on a projector
« on: January 09, 2009, 06:14:04 pm »

What tuner devices do people use to get television to their projector--basically, a display without a tuner?  Is TiVo my best option?  In our theater, we have four components with a four device stand...which is too bad because adding another device is going to clutter it up so much.

If you have a HTPC set up for it already, why not stick a capture card in that? Don't know if you'll have the TiVO ad skipping functionality that you guys get but it will save you hooking up another black box.

I use a computer with JRiver Media Center running on it to power my projector.

The television recording, subscription, etc. features in version 13 are really nice.

True.  And yet one fewer sources to deal with.  Right now, all I have is the computer and a dedicated Denon Blu-Ray player.
