You can share the image to the web from mc and give us the url here. Find the image from within mc's standard view. Rightclick on the image.Select Send to > Share to Web. On the leftside of the screen you can now fill in the details. Make sure you flag the make public option.

If you don't set the 'public' flag, you can still post the url here, and anyone who clicks on the link will be able to view the image, and, because it's 'private', it will keep problematic MC screenshots from appearing in public search results ;)

I'm sure I've had green avi's before, a long long time ago, and I'm sure that back then, the problem was an out of date xvid codec.

Can you also post the filters like you did in the mkv thread. Changing eiher the video renderder or the video decoder will most likely solve this.

Ok you are using ffdshow as your xvid video decoder inside an avi container.

Some things you can try:

-Update to the latest version of ffdshow (beta 6 I think) as Marko suggested.
http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/

-Try a different video renderer for .avi files
tools> options> directshow playback options> select avi>
Select a different Video Renderer from the dropdown box left under in the popup.

Hello again,

I need another alternative to the haali renderer as I have found that using this solved my color issue but I recently received a home movie in avi and it played almost in slow motion until I removed the renderer.

This would mean that I would have to change it for several of my avi files.

Do you have Nvidia graphics in your computer?  Nevermind, I see that you do have an Nvidia card. If so, it could be this problem: http://www.cccp-project.net/wiki/index.php?title=Troubleshooting_Guide#NVIDIA_Issues

Supposedly that should be fixed in newer builds of CCCP, but it might be worth checking.  Make sure to do all the steps on the CCCP guide, including this:

The solution is to enable ffdshow to output video in YV12. To do this, go to ffdshow video decoder configuration -> Output -> place a check on YV12 -> Ok.

You may also want to seriously consider updating your video card drivers for that laptop.  You are running VERY old drivers for the 8400 GS in your system.  The current release for notebooks came out on December 18, 2008 while yours were released in October of 2007.

The current release for Nvidia notebook graphics on Windows XP is here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_notebook_winxp_179.28_beta.html

Be sure to read the full "Products Supported" page, which states this:

Quote
The following notebooks are not supported in this release:

   1. Hybrid SLI notebooks (these notebooks will be supported in an upcoming release):
            Acer Aspire 7530
            BenQ Joybook S42
            Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi 3650
            MSI EX630
            Qosmio X305-Q706
            Qosmio X305-Q708
   2. Dell Vostro notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
   3. Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
   4. Sony VAIO notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)

If you have one of these unsupported laptops, you will need to go to your OEM's web page and search for updated drivers instead of getting them directly from Nvidia.

Go here instead: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_181.22_whql.html

But definitely try that CCCP fix too.  It fixes a similar problem for me on my system with an Nvidia 7800 GTX.

PS.  Sorry... With it being an 8400 GS (which is a very common laptop onboard graphics card) and the relatively low 720p resolution, I just assumed it was a laptop system.  You certainly don't want the laptop drivers for a desktop system!  But that's good because the desktop versions are much more widely supported by Nvidia (far fewer "OEM-Only" systems).

Hi,

I found the drivers and I have checked the  YV12 and it is already ticked.

As far as I am aware this is the latest codec pack.

If the YUV12 is already ticked then I'm out of ideas (other than updating the drivers).

Sweet!  Glad it helped.  It was just a guess, but I did know Nvidia has done a lot of work over the past few years on video problems.
