DFX Sound Enhancement
« on: February 11, 2009, 01:57:27 pm »

Hello,

after installing the new version 13. My DFX plugin does not work anymore. Every time I want to activate it about options - playback, Media Center 13 crashes.
Does the version 8.5 of dfx not run with Media Center 13. I didn't found any info about this on the fxsound homepage.

regards
Andreas

You could ask on their forum, but it's probably similar to this problem:

DFX 8 will not work for me either.  I downloaded the new DFX 9 and it also fails to work with Media Center 13.

DFX is now working with my Media Center 13.  This may not be exactly related to your problem because my Media Center 13 never crashed, however, this post may help someone else getting DFX going.

Perform the following actions:

Tools>Options>Playback>DSP Ouput format

Click on the word "DFX" first (not the check box) then click in the check box.  This worked for me.

If you click the check box only, the DFX field does not highlight and the DFX will not be enabled.
