Regardless, for future ref, is there a clear document I can reference that list what handhelds MCx/MJx are compatible with?

lol, i already bought a zume, and ipod touch.  I'm pbl going to return them both since their (locked) respective client software sucks.  I just want to make sure about MC13 compatability with this iPod, otherwise i'd just keep the ipod touch.

I thought there was a comprehensive list of MC compatible devices, but I can't find it. I want to buy another MP3 player for my daughter's music and want to make sure I can use MC with it. I'm going to buy a used one and don't really care how old it is, as long as I can use it on Windows XP with MC.

MC and MJ support all common devices except Apple's Touch and iPhone, and the Zune.

Devices that would be safe include those from Sandisk, iRiver, Creative, Philips, Samsung, and the newer Sony players.
