Is it possible to consolidate libraries?
« on: February 17, 2009, 02:19:12 am »

Hi!

I was wondering if it's possible to consolidate, say 2 different libraries into one?
I have one libray with all the music and a second with only audiobooks and I've been thinking about consolidating them into 1.

yes you can..

export the library to .mpl and import it (import playlist)

but if you have special custom fields in the 2:nd db u have to set them up first in the db you transfer them to.
if you have special views and smartlists you can export save them, and then import them into the "new" one.
also of course, other settings as autoimport of files etc you have to set up again in the new "main" database

but please make backups first... :)

Thanks!

I'll try this... maybe...  I'm still not shure if I actually want to consolidate my libraries, but now I know how to do it. :D
