Stack by [custom]
« on: March 13, 2009, 03:16:57 am »

Would it be possible to add the ability to stack files by different parameters than the ones available in the right-click menu?  I would like to be able to stack my files by filename, as I have many original lossless versions of songs that have been encoded to lossy mp3... but now the MP3 tag information is more accurate than the original lossless.  I need to update the original files, but it would take forever to go through them manually, while, if I were able to stack them via "filename" I could easily update the lower entries in the library using the topmost stack.

Stacks are a really powerful tool, but I think they haven't had their potential released yet... PLEASE add the option to allow stack by custom field.

Thanks!

Autostack by Name is not what you're looking for?

No, Autostack by Filename is what I'm looking for.  The filenames of all my files are correct for different format files, but the tags are all screwed up, I want to synchronize them.
