Is there a way to view the 'Playing Now' window AND my Library (or playlist) at the same time so I can drag and drop songs from my library to the 'Now Playing' que waiting to be played?

View -> Split View -> Show 2 Views

Then just click one and jumpt to Playing Now, then click on the other and start browsing your library.

if you can not find the suggestion of doof, you have to enable split view first.
options>general>advanced>features>split view

Or...

you can right click on Playing Now in the tree and choose "Edit in action window" from the menu there.
