Library restore
« on: April 05, 2009, 10:36:17 pm »

Hi again,

My computer died.

I restored the library from a backup and also put the library into my documents.

I am networked and use MC to do the work in my office.

I have added the folders through the network but every time I go update it tries to re add the files.

What have I done wrong I dont want to have to tag all the files again.

Please help.

Cheers  ?

Double-check the auto-import folders in Options > Library.

For example, I map my D:\Media folder to M:\.  I have to be really careful to _only_ use M:\ inside Media Center, because if I sometimes use D:\Media, there's no way for Media Center to know that the paths are actually the same so it can get a little messy.

If you need to switch paths, use the tool "Rename, Move, & Copy Files".

Hello

Thank you.

Now can you tell me how I can make the library backup to my documents.

It is simply ridiculous that it backs up to a folder that cannot be accessed through the network.

Cheers
