Order of using TV tuners
« on: April 07, 2009, 09:47:16 am »

In the Configure Options in TV you can set the order in which the tuners will be used if more than one tuner is available.
I have two tuners and put Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB2 at the top. But MC doesn't preserve this order. When I leave Configuration and go back to it again the Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II is at the top again (see attached picture).

I have these devices too.  The order is preserved.

Do you unplug the USB device and replug it in another port?  That may cause the order to change.

That doesn't solve my problem.

I was not clear.  I was not suggesting to you to unplug and replug as a way of solving the problem.  I was suggesting that doing so could cause the problem.

The device order is saved here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JRiver\Media Center 13\TV Settings\Shared\Devices - Order

Take a look of it right after you save the order.  Take a look again after restart/check/close (do not try to reorder it if the order changd).  See if you can spot any difference.  It is easier to copy the registry string into a text editor since the string is very long.

Take a look of it right after you save the order.

Where can I save the order?
I can move up or down a device, but save the order? There is no such option.

Update:
I solved it already. The OK button to save the order was off screen. Now everything is OK.
Thanks
