Import MTS files?
« on: April 13, 2009, 11:45:19 am »

My Sony camera uses the odd 'MTS' file extension instead of 'M2TS', and I can't figure out how to persuade MC to import those files.  If I change extension and import, they play fine - so is there a way to 'force' the import?

I added MTS to supported file type.  Look for the change in an upcoming build (151 or later).

Has Sony changed only the extension or also the storage/compression format? I have some .m2t files that play fine when the CCCP filter pack is installed and Haali is used as the splitter and the FFDShow video decoder is used as the decoding codec. Only the 16:9 aspect ratio is not detected automatically. I must set it manually.

The .m2t files are unedited footage from a Sony HDR-HC5 camera. I used Sony Vegas Pro v8 for capturing them (HDR-HC5 records to MiniDV tapes and a capture program is needed.)
