Hex Data In [Comment] Field
« on: May 07, 2009, 02:16:55 pm »

About half of my library has what looks to be some random hex codes in the COMMENT field.
Does MC use this at all or have anything to do with it?

I'd like to just delete it all and have a useful comment field in my Track Info playing now, but it's pretty clearly data of some sort and I don't want to cause myself problems.

Thanks for any knowledge,
JB

This doesn't ring a bell to me.

Maybe it's an ID used by some fingerprinting / ripping program you've used?

As far as Media Center is concerned, it should be safe to delete.

It could certainly have a number of pre-MC culprits, but it's not my current auto-tagger and apparently not MC so deleting it and forgetting it works just dandy. Thanks for the quick response. -JB
