Updated my PC to Windows 7 yesterday,
found an issue of MC13 with Win 7:

Searching for digital channels (WinTV Stick), MC opens three "ActiveMovie Window" windows and then it crashes after about 30 seconds.
This happens again and again...

Before, Windows XP x64 was installed and MC worked flawless..

Any ideas?
Kind regards,
Raist

Did you install a driver for the stick?  The XP driver probably won't work.  A Vista driver probably will.

Try a google search on ActiveMovie.  It's not ours.

The driver I installed is a Vista driver, not the XP one.

It's not a problem of the driver, because the device is working in Windows Media Center without any problems!
So the error must be related to MC and not to the driver.
That's why I placed the topic in MC and not to TV Cards!!

Please have a look at the channel search code if it is compatible to Windows 7...
Thanks

It belongs here.  Yaobing is more likely to see it.

Please email me a log file.

Help > Logging...
Check "Output to a log file" under Logging Options.
Make sure at least TV and Playback events are selected under "Types of events to log".

Your last log file did not contain any television related logging.  Please send another one, making sure you follow these procedures:

1. Turn on logging, as described by my previous post.
2. Run television channel scanning in MC.
3. If MC crashes, restart MC, go to Help > Logging... immediately, and click "Click to email log files" link.  Your email program will be opened and a file Email.zip attached.  The zip file contains two files - Log.txt and "Previous Log.txt".  The file "Previous Log.txt" contains the useful info.  On the other hand, if MC does not crash, you should go to Help > Logging... directly and click the email link.  In this case the useful info is contained in Log.txt file.

Yes, I got the log.  This time it does contain useful info.  I am still investigating.

Yes, thanks for the file!
Unfortunately, I am on vacation and the DVB-T stick is at home, so I will test it next week after vacation.
I will then report back if it works now.
Thanks a lot

Thanks for reporting back.

What did you change?

It's a long story.  A short answer is that Microsoft's MPEG-2 Demultiplexer filter behaves very differently on Windows 7.  I had to change how it is used.

Hi
I am having the exact same problem as

How did you fix this?

cheers

Are you using the latest build of MC?  If you are, then your problem may not be "exactly the same."
