We've been watching Hulu here at home.  I like it.

Today they had a movie about Les Paul.  Maybe because Les died this month at 94.  Good going, Les.

Les Paul is a guitar legend.  I can't due him justice, but Wikpedia probably can.  He was an inventor as well as a musician.  I first remember him with his wife, Mary Ford singing on the radio in the early 1950's.  I didn't like their music much at the time, but I didn't like Benny Goodman then or Peggy Lee.  I can appreciate them now.

On the movie, there were several clips with other well known musicians.  Jeff Beck, for instance.  Then Tommy Emanuel.  He's Australian, but I had never heard of him.  So I did a search and started playing a little of his music.  It's very solid finger picking.  I'm listening to acoustic music now.  He does more than that, but it reminds me of other guitar players I like a lot, starting with Elizabeth Cotten, Etta Baker, Taj Majal, Chet Atkins, Doc Watson, and so on.

A few months ago, I found another artist, Jorma Kaukonen, in a similar way.  I started playing Grace Slick, Jefferson Airplane, and ended up finding a wonderful guitarist I didn't know.

i like tommy emmanuel a lot. but more then listening to him play, i like to see him play. check out the video Live at Sheldon Concert Hall. some very nice playing and fun on the acoustic guitar there.

I know Leo Kottke's music and like it.  He lives around here, used to live a couple miles away from my home.
