when viewing the "Thumbnails display", i noticed that a lot of thumbnails are missing. sometimes a playlist can show only 75% of its files as thumbnails, and the rest are missing and will just show a generic icon. but on some playlists, as much as 1/2 can be missing.  What's causing this and what can i do to view every thumbnails?  I also do not notice a pattern pertaining to attributes such as file type or file size.  For instance, some avi files show a thumbnail, and some avi files don't show any thumbnail...some large files do..some don't etc...\

Please help!  The thumbnails display is one of the best feature of JRiver's products.

If you are missing codecs for playback, a file will not be thumbnailable.

Installing CCCP might help.

You could also right-click a file and "Update Library (from tags)" to force the program to try to recreate the thumbnail.

i did have CCCP installed.  but what you suggested worked for 99% of the files. Thanks a bunch!
