RTSP Live Stream - Unable to Play
« on: July 21, 2009, 10:27:06 am »

I'm broadcasting a couple of different live streams at my job via RTSP (off of a Quicktime Streaming Server and a NCast Telepresenter).  The primary stream is a 2 mbps MPEG-4 ASP encoded video stream at 720p (30 fps), though there is also a second lower-quality version of the same broadcast at 640x360 (30 fps) and H264 encoded.

I'd love to be able to use MC to view these streams, particularly to be able to put them up on our shiny new video wall.  Unfortunately, MC 14 won't open them!  I get a "Media Center encountered errors while trying to play the last several files. Please make sure that the path in your media library points to the right location" error.

Both VLC and Quicktime Player handle them just fine.  MC can handle the MP4 recordings we make of the stream just fine as well, if I copy over and load the actual files after the fact.  I'm happy to send you a link to the unicast version of the stream if you want, but it isn't a public stream so I'd need to do it via email.
