Shutdown timer function ?
« on: July 21, 2009, 12:06:33 pm »

Is there any way to set a shutdown timer within MC? (not within Windows)

My wish would be: Setting a time-out delay counter to let's say 10, 20 or 30 minutes within the program and with a keyboard command activate this timer. Like that I can go to sleep and after the given time the program will generate the program end and shutdown of the computer itself... if I use the forced shutdown by the Windows function I'm just a bit worried that it might be able to leave the database in a corrupted state

Opinions?

You could use the old Sleep Timer plug-in: (it's at the end of the Interface plugins list)

Yes, the Sleep Timer has worked very well for me, well worth a try  ;)
